Ayaka
A festive parcel of seasoned meat and corn dough wrapped in banana leaf, closely associated with the Christmas season.
Ingredients
- Prepared corn dough
- Seasoned chicken, pork or beef
- Onion and sweet pepper
- Olives, raisins and capers to taste
- Banana leaves, cleaned and softened
- Kitchen string
Method

Prepare the seasoned meat filling and allow it to cool slightly.

Spread corn dough over a softened banana leaf and add the filling.

Fold into a tight parcel and tie securely.

Cook the parcels until the dough is set and the filling is piping hot.
